Michael Moore, CFA

Vice President — Senior Advisor

Michael has over 18 years of experience in portfolio management, securities analysis and investment management. His expertise includes many years of institutional equity management and he has managed portfolios for leading investment management firms in New York and London.

Michael holds the Chartered Financial Analyst® designation. He is a member of the CFA Society Maine, Boston Security Analysts Society, Maine Estate Planning Council and Financial Planning Association.

Michael majored in Accounting at the University of Georgia.  He went on to become an investment analyst and portfolio manager for various firms – most recently for Maverick Capital in New York.  After moving to Maine, he served as Endowment Investment Officer for Bowdoin College.

At Bigelow Investment Advisors, he manages the assets of individuals, institutions, and retirement plans. Michael’s experience allows him to excel at creating client centered investment portfolios focused on capital preservation.

He lives in Cape Elizabeth with his wife and three children.  He is an adjunct professor at the University of Southern Maine where he teaches a financial management course. Michael is a Trout Unlimited volunteer. He also serves on the Cape Elizabeth Land Trust and Cape Elizabeth School Board.  He is member of the St. Alban’s Episcopal Church Endowment Committee. He has volunteered as a bereavement counselor for the Center for Grieving Children and served on its board of directors.
