William M. Hunter II

Bill began his investment management career in 1977 at Depositors Trust Company in Augusta, Maine. In 1980 Bill joined Canal National Bank in Portland. Following the acquisition of both banks in 1984 by Key Corp, Bill was named Executive Vice President and Chief Investment Officer. By 1987, he was elected President and Chief Executive Officer of Key Trust Company of Maine.

Over the course of Bill’s career within the Key Corp organization, Bill was elevated to Executive Vice President of the Corporation with executive responsibilities for Key’s Trust and Investment Management Group with companies in Alaska, Florida, Idaho, Indiana, Maine, Michigan, New York, Ohio, Oregon, Utah and Washington.

Bill’s affinity and desire to work directly with clients – individuals, families and institutions – is where his passions lie. This desire led Bill back to Maine where he joined Wind River Capital Management, opening the Brunswick office in 2006 and ultimately becoming a partner in the firm. On January 2, 2018 Wind River Capital merged with Bigelow Investment Advisors.

Bill is a graduate of Central College, Pella, Iowa, with a B.A. in History and Political Science.
