Racquel Tibbetts serves as Managing Partner for Bigelow and is fueled by her passion for assisting clients in making informed financial decisions. She has a focus on crafting personalized plans that aim to alleviate stress and allow clients to embrace a clear outlook on the future.

With a career spanning various financial roles, including public accounting, commercial credit underwriting, and financial planning, Racquel brings more than 20 years of experience in financial services to her current role. Specializing in organizing and prioritizing financial goals, Racquel guides Bigelow’s clients through crucial life decisions, from optimizing Social Security benefits and charitable giving to crafting effective retirement withdrawal strategies. Recognizing the importance of well-managed investment portfolios, she creates financial plans for Bigelow’s clients that align seamlessly with their personal objectives.

Racquel holds a CPA license and is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional. Her commitment to academic excellence is evident in her earned PhD in Personal Financial Planning from Kansas State University. Beyond her professional achievements, Racquel has served on the boards of the YMCA of Greater Bangor and Bangor Rotary, and currently on the University of Maine Foundation Investment Committee, demonstrating her dedication to community development.

CFP: Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards Center for Financial Planning, Inc. owns and licenses the certification marks CFP®, CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™, and CFP® (with plaque design) in the United States to Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, Inc., which authorizes individuals who successfully complete the organization’s initial and ongoing certification requirements to use the certification marks.

CPA: Certified Public Accountant. Accredited by the Maine Board of Accountancy of the Office of Licensing and Registration, and is granted to individuals who: complete an examination administered by the Board, met the educational requirements set forth in 32 MRSA subsection 12228(3), and experience requirements set forth in MRSA subsection 12228(10). Once issued, the licensee shall obtain 40 hours of continuing professional education (CPE) annually, including 4 hours of CPE in professional ethics every three years.

IACCP: The designation, which is sponsored by NRS Education and the Investment Advisers Association, the education and professional development division of NRS, a COMPLY company, is designed for compliance professionals who want to certify their knowledge of investment adviser regulatory obligations and gain additional competence in trading, regulatory mandates, disclosures and other current regulatory priorities.
